Defense technology, range of weapons, equipment, structures, and vehicles used specifically for the purpose of warfare. It includes the knowledge required to construct such technology, to employ it in combat, and to repair and replenish it. From the earliest times, a critical relationship has existed between military technology, the tactics of its employment, and the psychological factors that bind its users into units. Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama’s Cummings Research Park, PeopleTec, Inc. is an employee-owned small business with over 480 employees providing emerging technologies, engineering solutions, modeling and simulation, cybersecurity, and mission operations and program support to the Department of Defense and Civilian Federal sectors. PeopleTes’s customers include the Missile Defense Agency, Space and Missile Defense Command, National Guard Bureau, and multiple commands and PEOs within the US Army, Air Force, and Navy. PeopleTec is on the forefront of advancements in hypersonics research, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, command, control, and communications (C3), autonomy and counter-AI, and high performance and cloud computing. For example, the company has developed a key tool for use in insider threat detection utilizing advanced algorithms for AI and machine learning algorithms to detect, isolate, and notify users of insider threats within their organizations. In addition to these technologies, PeopleTec provides subject matter expertise in multiple areas, including Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), data analytics and visualization, insider threat, and condition-based maintenance for a wide variety of customers. PeopleTec invests in advanced and emerging technologies to support Warfighter requirements across multi-domain operations. Through internal research and development funding, congressionally directed funding, and upgrades to corporate infrastructure and facilities, PeopleTec provides the tools, expertise, and innovation required to meet customer needs. PeopleTec provides industry leading engineering solutions essential to US missile defense, space, and aviation programs. Disciplines within this competency include systems engineering and analysis, system architecture development, modular open system architecture (MOSA), software engineering and integration, test and evaluation planning and execution, and verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A). PeopleTec has significant missile defense and aviation systems presence with key customers, including MDA, USASMDC, and across the US Army aviation enterprise, and a management team with deep technical experience.

Modeling & Simulation

PeopleTec has extensive corporate legacy across a full spectrum of modeling and simulation technologies.  The company supports various modeling and simulation activities, including the development and deployment of analytical models & simulations, robotics systems, Live-Virtual Constructive (LVC) systems, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), and gaming technologies. Additionally, PeopleTec develops, maintains, and employs physics-based models to determine lethality and system effectiveness of critical missile defense assets for MDA. This capability includes the integration of complex hydrocode models to perform hydro-structural analysis of weapons systems, calculate explosives effects, and conduct debris characterization for determination of system effectiveness and environmental effects for test and evaluation analysis. PeopleTec also develops high-fidelity flight analysis, mission modeling, and meteorology models to enhance system effectiveness, reduce technical risk, increase flight testing, and provide operator training. PeopleTec further utilizes its modeling and simulation background to provide cyber threat modeling, as well. For example, PeopleTec provides customers with the capability to fully test existing weapons systems, train current cyber analysts, and identify cyber vulnerabilities in a non-destructive simulated cyber environment. PeopleTec’s modeling and simulation teams have supported multiple customers, including MDA through the development of high-fidelity lethality modeling and the US Army through development of 6 Degree of Freedom (6DOF) modeling.

Cybersecurity

PeopleTec’s cybersecurity and intelligence team are top experts in their fields, which includes Information Assurance (IA), Risk Management Framework (RMF), cyber training and exercise support, cyber threat modeling, Computer Network Defense (CND), and space operations, servicing nation’s defense community in support of the Warfighter. PeopleTec conducts vulnerability assessments and software assurance analyses on some of the nation’s most critical missile defense and aviation systems. The company’s cybersecurity and intelligence analysts, who are highly experienced and hold multiple certifications, collect, process, integrate, analyze, and interpret data that allows customers to make strategic decisions for the prevention of cyber threats. For example, PeopleTec’s team has developed tools to provide cyber situational understanding for weapons systems and networks identifying and defending key cyber terrain elements from cyber penetration attacks. PeopleTec further provides supply chain security analysis and develops trusted systems and networks for use by both US Government and commercial customers. PeopleTec has an expanding and diverse customer base and an extensive number of highly cleared and certified personnel within this space (e.g., PeopleTec’s cybersecurity team boasts over 42 different cybersecurity certifications and has been a primary force in transitioning US Army systems from DIACAP to RMF).
