30 Most Reputable Companies of the Year 2022
The Silicon Review
If you have a business in this digital age, your business doesn’t need to have a just ‘good’ online presence – it needs to stand out. Atlanta, Georgia-based full-service digital marketing agency, The Creative Momentum, is helping design and build mid-sized to Fortune 50 businesses and technology companies’ brands to life through their remarkable work.
As a nationally recognized agency, The Creative Momentum was founded in 2012 when its co-founders saw that most agencies in the digital marketing industry were mediocre in building relationships and simply picking a template out and customizing it for their clients, delivering sub-par results. The Creative Momentum was established to provide the best-in-class full-service creative and digital marketing services to address this gap.
The Creative Momentum has won the Pacesetter Award 3 years in a row for being one of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. In 2017 and 2018, The Creative Momentum was an INC. 5000 recipient. In 2015, the agency was named 20 most promising web design and development solution providers by CIO Review.
We recently interviewed Michael White, President and Co-founder of The Creative Momentum, to know more about the company’s strategies and innovations. Read on for the excerpts from the interview.
Q. How do you help your clients strategize and stay ahead of the times?
We’re always doing research and looking to follow best practices. We are always looking at what’s working, what’s not working, what’s relevant, and that keeps us ahead of the curve with regards to our competitors. We work with our clients who are from a variety of industries, with each having different goals and objectives. So, when we talk about helping our clients strategize, we first try to understand their goals, what they are looking to accomplish, and what defines success- whether it’s lead generation, better conversions, or a better user experience for their potential customers.
Q. Could you tell us briefly about your services?
We were founded on the UI/UX principles of custom website design and development. So, we don’t do templates or cookie-cutter solutions. We’re not just picking the template out and customizing it. We literally start with a blank sheet of paper, then we start with sitemap architecture, wireframes, mood boards, custom design and develop that out in a content management system (CMS), which fits our clients’ needs.
In addition, we do SEO, PPC Advertising, Inbound Marketing, and Content Writing. We develop websites with best SEO practices, which can include doing an initial SEO audit or ongoing SEO optimization. We also do pay-per-click advertising, whether it’s Google Search and Display, LinkedIn, Facebook, and more. Because once the website is redesigned and live, then it’s all about making sure that we bring traffic to the site that is targeted.
The Creative Momentum is also a big proponent of inbound marketing, through which people that are on websites and are attracted by valuable content – whether it’s live chat or call-to-actions such as gated content resources, filling out a form to be able to get a white paper, a case study, as well as workflows with their marketing automation tools to be able to set up drip campaigns for our clients. We are a full-service digital marketing agency. We also do a lot of creative and graphic work as well, including custom software design and development.
Q. What helps you stand out as a digital agency?
What helps us stand out is our work- it speaks for itself. It stands out from our competitors and clients tell us all the time that they love our work. It is a different look-and-feel entirely. And because we’re not industry-specific and we are not dabbling in templates, we are literally able to take all of our skillsets and experiences across all of our industries and apply them for the best user experience as well as marketing strategies for our clients.
Q. How do you consistently drive amazing results for your clients? What’s the secret?
It is very important for us that when we get selected for a project with a client, we do an in-depth questionnaire as well as executive stakeholder interviews to really understand their requirements because everybody has a different goal for their website or marketing needs. We want to make sure that everyone is heard and apply all of that information to the new website or marketing strategy.
Q. What does innovation mean to The Creative Momentum?
It’s about trying new things and applying them- A/B testing and continuing to optimize – whether it’s the latest and greatest technology or things like personalization or mobile-first design. So, it’s really all about staying ahead of the curve and applying the principles that we can utilize today to get the best results, much like how we leverage AI chat such as Drift, a popular AI chatbot that you can use to personalize and tailor the messaging based on what a user is doing. This way, if a client returns to a website, you can deliver the content based on the second or third time they have reached the website.
Q. Could you tell us about the work culture of your company?
The work culture at our company is very open and laid back. Everyone here is very experienced in their skillset. At The Creative Momentum, there is a work-hard, play-hard mentality. Because everyone is experienced here, we deliver very high results, and that also helps other people thrive as they are constantly around brilliant people who do incredible work.
Q. What does the road ahead look like for The Creative Momentum?
Our goal is to make long-term partnerships with our clients. A lot of our clients that have a retainer with us have been with us for many years, but we are looking to expand upon that and forge more long-term partnerships with our clients, which can include additional services. Having one company to work with can be very valuable.
