Q. Cyber security is the top priority of any company. How do you secure your clients’ data without increasing the complexity of their operations?
We have to increase our operational complexity above and beyond industry standards. Protecting our Client data is of the utmost importance to us. If this means adding additional controls, this is what we must do. It is the right thing to do.
Q. Do you provide industry-specific solutions based on the clients’ requirements? If yes, kindly explain in brief.
It’s a bit more than a specific solution but really about using data to solve the problems that our clients are facing. We built our solutions to meet the needs of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, business email compromise, account take over, wire fraud, and so on but through data. We provide a solution that is presented through our Context™ or Risk™ platform, but our all-source intelligence is also available as a data feed that can integrate natively with any solution. From our experience as an operator, we didn’t want to build a point solution but a data-driven platform that can address many like a Swiss army knife of data.
Q. How do you deal with the “never ending change” in digital transformation?
Similar to the media industry, you have to constantly adapt to the ever changing technology ecosystem. But one thing that is driving this change is data and the use of data, and the reason for the constant transformation. Not just commodity data, but intelligent or tailored data specific to industry or organization. By building our solutions around the data, we can pivot with the ongoing digital transformation.
Q. Tell us in brief about your data management system and compliance.
It goes without saying the quality of the data matters. So, our data scientists work hand in hand with our engineers to ensure end-to-end lifecycle and continuous refinement. When we developed our data strategy, we adopted how financial institutions secure and use the data, and of course, in doing so, we adopted many of the security controls and compliance requirements similar to large financial institutions with resources and technology controls.
Q. How do you monitor the performance of the solution? What guidance and direction did you find most effective to train individuals to use your solution?
Great question. Resecurity is built by engineers and operators, which means that everything we do runs and feels like a big engineering company. Like any organization, we monitor end to end – from the end-user to data that is being transferred across our infrastructure, which gives us clear visibility across everything that is correlated and evaluated. In regard to our solution, we really built the platform so that no training is really necessary beyond where to move around on the platform. Simple and flexible for any operator with experience.
Q. How do you market your services?
Believe it or not, most of our products and services are through word of mouth, but we are looking forward to 2021 with several conferences and a new digital marketing strategy for more awareness about what we do.
Q. Do you have any new services ready to be launched?
We have been piloting our Endpoint Protection Solution (EPP) throughout 2020 and hope to launch in 2021. When we first started Resecurity, we actually developed our endpoint solution but driven by intelligence, but it took us a while to get this working the way we know how it should work and pivoted many times but now it’s ready.
Q. What does the future hold for your company and its customers?
Are exciting things on the way? For the company, continued growth and provide the best intelligence for our customers to meet their challenges against the growing threat landscape. Everything is exciting for us – the challenges, changes, and convergence of the technical ecosystem will continue to play a part in how we grow as a company.
