Spice Logistics LLC was founded in 2015 with a clear point of view: logistics works better when the people running it actually understand the road. Built by operators who came up through real freight, not just spreadsheets, the company was created to fix what too often goes wrong in this industry. Poor communication. Rigid processes. A lack of ownership when things get complicated. From day one, Spice Logistics set out to prove that those problems are not inevitable. Led by Founder and CEO Shane Sinnemon, Spice Logistics was designed around adaptability and accountability. The focus has always been simple and demanding at the same time. Listen closely to customers. Respect carriers as partners, not commodities. Anticipate issues early and solve them before they turn into failures. High-touch service is not treated as a luxury add-on here. It is the operating standard, even as the business scales.
Today, Spice Logistics provides full-service freight capacity and logistics solutions across North America, with a strong footprint across the Southeast, Midwest, Gulf Coast, and Northeast. The company handles dry van, flatbed, step deck, RGN and lowboy, refrigerated, expedited, heavy haul, hot shot, cargo van, over-dimensional loads, and complex project-based freight. Time-sensitive and emergency movements, including disaster response and recovery logistics, are a core part of the operation, not an afterthought. What truly defines Spice Logistics is how shipments are managed end to end. Reliability, safety, and clarity drive every move. No one can control weather, traffic, or every variable on the road. Here’s the thing. Communication is always controllable. Spice Logistics treats that responsibility seriously, keeping customers informed at every step and standing behind every load with disciplined execution and real accountability.
In conversation with Shane Sinnemon, Founder and CEO of Spice Logistics LLC
Spice Logistics emphasizes being a “driver-friendly company.” How does this translate into better service for clients?
Treating drivers well directly improves service reliability. When drivers are respected, paid promptly, and communicated with clearly, they prioritize those loads. This reduces late pickups, missed appointments, and last-minute cancellations. Driver-friendly practices also lead to stronger long-term carrier relationships, which means more consistent capacity and fewer operational disruptions for customers. Simply put, when drivers want to work with Spice Logistics, freight moves more smoothly and predictably. When you are good by a driver, sadly, in this industry, it makes a huge difference to the driver. They want to follow our network. Everyone wants to be treated fair. Drivers keep America moving by providing all the products we use every day to us. Without the driver, our economy would stop overnight.
“BEST IS STANDARD” is a core principle. How is this enforced across your carrier network?
“BEST IS THE STANDARD” is not a slogan—it is an operational expectation. Spice Logistics enforces this through top-tier leadership from our President, Josh Crumpton. Clear carrier requirements, performance tracking, and accountability. Carriers are evaluated on safety records, communication, on-time performance, and professionalism. Internally, employees are trained to take ownership of outcomes rather than pass responsibility. Mistakes are addressed quickly and transparently, and processes are continuously improved to prevent repeat issues. Consistency, not shortcuts, defines how the company operates. Lastly, something I hear from our customers every day. Spice is always available. Day or night, we make sure our customer has a direct line to their Spice operator. We never pass the buck.
How does Spice Logistics address double-brokering and security risks?
Spice Logistics uses a rigorous carrier vetting process that includes insurance verification, authority checks, safety monitoring, identity validation, and ongoing compliance reviews. Carriers are screened before onboarding and monitored throughout the relationship. Transparency is critical—customers know who is hauling their freight, and carriers know exactly what is expected of them. This disciplined approach reduces fraud risk, protects cargo, and builds trust with shippers who need confidence in their logistics partners.
Why does Spice Logistics offer disaster relief services alongside standard freight?
Disaster relief logistics require speed, flexibility, and coordination under pressure—qualities that define a strong logistics company. Spice Logistics’ ability to mobilize equipment and capacity quickly during emergencies demonstrates adaptability and operational strength. Supporting disaster response efforts also reflects the company’s commitment to serving communities when logistics matter most. These capabilities carry over into everyday operations, strengthening the company’s ability to manage urgent, complex, or high-risk shipments for all customers.
How do you maintain expertise across diverse equipment types?
Spice Logistics maintains expertise by working with specialized carriers and internal teams who understand each equipment type. Flatbed, RGN, refrigerated, and specialized freight all have unique requirements, and the company does not take a one-size-fits-all approach. Loads are matched with carriers that have proven experience with the specific equipment and cargo involved. Safety standards, load securement expectations, and compliance requirements are enforced consistently across all equipment categories.
How can you claim “unlimited truck capacity” while maintaining quality?
“Unlimited capacity” is made possible through a large, actively managed carrier network and strong relationships built on trust and fair treatment. Technology supports this by enabling real-time visibility, fast carrier matching, and performance tracking. However, capacity is never prioritized over quality. Carriers must meet Spice Logistics’ standards to remain active. The combination of scale, technology, and disciplined carrier management allows the company to handle large volumes without compromising reliability or safety. If a hauler does make a mistake and breaks any of our company policies. Our compliance team reacts fast and removes any hauler that does not perform to performance standards.
What does the future hold for Spice Logistics and its customers?
The future includes continued investment in technology, automation, and data-driven decision-making to improve speed, transparency, and efficiency. Spice plans in 2026 to open 5 new offices across the US in 2026. Spice Logistics is focused on expanding capabilities while maintaining its service-first culture. Customers can expect smarter systems, faster execution, and even stronger support as their logistics needs evolve. Growth is intentional and controlled, with long-term partnerships prioritized over short-term volume. Spice has also developed its own software. Built by Spice for Spice. This will also roll out in 2026.
