“Successful service delivery hinges upon consistent execution every single time. We train and follow ISSA Cleaning Standards, Utilize a Custom Janitorial Software to monitor our performance and perform Pro-active Quality Assurance checks to ensure a seamless relationship with our client partners.”

Managing one’s facility is no easy task to accomplish. Be it cleanliness, periodic work, preventative maintenance, pest management, the list goes on. Most of the time, this responsibility lies with an office manager who is responsible to source vendors that a space would require for routine maintenance and upkeep. That is where a facility management firm plays a pivotal role. Essentially; a professional, outsourced management team operates as your very own facilities partner who is always at the ready to assist with all your facility based needs.

In view of the foregoing, we’re delighted to present Summit Facility Solutions.

Summit understates the day-to-day struggle with maintaining your facility. The company goes beyond the vendor/customer relationship and integrates themselves into your space to learn the idiosyncrasies, so it can design a custom approach to managing the growing needs of your facility.

Summit was established in 2018 and is headquartered in New York City and in a short time expanded its service line into Boston, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida.

In Conversation with Michael Marrazzo, Summit Facility Solutions Founder and CEO

Why was the company set up? How did you expand your company over the years?

Summit Facility Solutions was set up to create a customer experience beyond what any other facilities provider was offering. Our full service partnered approach with each customer has allowed us to expand our services beyond our core business of janitorial services. Once we have been able to demonstrate our value, we are able to cross-sell additional offerings to become each partner’s one-stop solution for all their needs.

‘A well-defined mission and vision is the secret behind the success of many firms.’ What is your company’s M&V statement?

We at Summit Facility Solutions have adopted a partnership approach to facilities management. Our success is founded on the premise that effectiveness in managing your client space requires both the vendor and the customer to form a synergy and work together- this means excellent communication, constant quality assurance and improvement, and a dedicated team to get the job done.

What are the factors that make your brand stand out from the competition?

  • Single Source Provider– Summit is a comprehensive facilities provider, offering a suite of facility services in one place. Our core business is commercial cleaning services, in addition to the ancillary services that complement the daily function of your facility: Pest Management, Window Cleaning, Carpet Care, Stripping/Waxing/Burnishing, Office Wellness, and many more.
  • A Custom Janitorial Program– The needs of each facility is different; this is why we put a custom janitorial program together for each of the clients we service. We break down the program into three sections: General Cleaning, Periodic Scheduling, and General Maintenance. Ensuring that the correct application is put in place from the start is paramount to the proper service delivery and function of your unique space.
  • We Model after ‘ISSA’ Standards– Our training standards are modeled after the ‘ISSA Standards of Cleaning’ to ensure our service delivery is delivered to the highest standard. The ISSA family of Clean Standards establishes a framework to help facilities objectively assess the effectiveness of their cleaning processes using ATP meters in conjunction with a more traditional audit process. Based on the philosophy of “Clean, Measure, Monitor,” the ISSA Clean Standards contribute to the quality of the indoor environment.

“Earning trust and respect of consumers is through consistent focus on delivering high quality in all of our actions,” how do you interpret this statement?

I would interpret this as no matter how great we “sell” our product during a pitch, the only thing that truly matters is the effectiveness of our service delivery. When we build a scope of work, we create a plan custom of action that leads to our success on each job. From the initial sales pitch through completion of a project or job, trust and respect are a necessity on both the customer and vendors part in order to succeed. We truly see each customer as an extension of our company and value them as partners.

What kind of responses have you received from your consumers over the years? How have they motivated you to grow the company?

We all know that customer service profession can sometimes be a thankless job, no matter how hard one tries to succeed. From the early years to this day, there will always be negative and positive feedback ranging from client interaction to actual job performance. Being able to adapt to those constructive comments, good or bad, allows Summit to make the necessary changes on the fly and institute valuable feedback to our own staff as well as our partner customers.

Customer service varies, but companies can still be successful. How do you maintain your customers’ trust and loyalty?

The answer is being consistent. We are in the service delivery business, and yes, being consistent is the pillar of Summit’s integrity and reputation. We utilize all aspects of communication such as; Video Calls, Group Messaging, and Quality Assurance Software to ensure we execute every single time to the level we promise.

Do you have any new products that you have launched?

We recently launched Janitorial management software called ‘Swept.’ This software allows ‘GeoFenced’ time tracking, employee scheduling, supply management and ordering, a multi-lingual communication interface, and quality assurance reporting. This leverage of technology will allow Summit to run a seamless operation in the field by enabling a mobile user to make changes and order requests seamlessly.

Where do you see your company a couple of years from now?

The next move is organic geographic expansion. Our service model has been tried and is well received by our clients. We will continue our multistate development of service lines and continue to expand our vendor and client network.
