Over the last five years, the distribution house has witnessed phenomenal growth of approx. 60% percent. Today, the company has a pan India presence with 34 full-fledged branch offices and 19 satellite offices across 29 states backed by a strong network of 27 Service Centres. Supertron has strength of 1464 Employees.

The company caters to over 15000 channel partners spread across the country. Supertron’s growth & success is because of its strategic tie ups with more than 20 MNC brands & offering world class products to the channel. The company has strengthened its position among the leading distribution houses in India, evident from its FY 16-17 report, when Supertron clocked a turnover of around Rs. 2800 Cr. Story behind Supertron Electronics Inception

Once upon a time in 1985, a young & dynamic lad Vishnu Kumar Bhandari, popularly known as “VKB” to IT industry today, landed in Kolkata to study Jute Technology to fulfill his grandfather’s dream, but soon he realized that Jute Technology is something beyond his understanding, it was his energetic futuristic mind that he was able to foresee that Information Technology is the next in thing across the globe. Immediately, he dropped the idea of Jute Technology and joined an IT company and worked till 1990, by that time he realized the future prospect of IT Hardware business. Today, Bhandari has very strong relationship with all IT & other fraternity of India and abroad.

In 1991, Bhandari felt that eastern India needs a quality IT distribution house from where he can serve all major local IT dealers/resellers who requires a distribution house with a product range along with strong and efficient service and replacement support for which he formed a small proprietorship company called Supermatic Computer.

At that point of time Govt. has liberalized IT import rules and to bring world class technology product in India, and that’s when Bhandari opened Supertron Electronics Ltd. in the year of 1993 as an Import and distributor company with support of 3 energetic persons under him.

Today, Supertron is established as one of the leading IT distribution company in India and able to set up the company amongst top 5 national IT Hardware distribution house with more than 1400 employees and 2800 crores turnover with 39 branches across Pan India.

V.K. Bhandari , Chairman & Managing Director- A driving force behind the astounding success and growth of Supertron, under V. K. Bhandari’s dynamic leadership the Company has carved a desirable position for itself  in the Indian IT Distribution & Services Industry.

One of the founding members of Computer Association of Eastern India (COMPASS), Bhandari has served as a V.P. for three years from 1994-1996 and was elected to the post of President for three years 1997-1999. His hard work and dedication again saw him being elected president of COMPASS for another three years from 2004-2006. In the year 2010, he won the “Life Time Achievement Award” from “COMPASS”. In 2016 Economic Times from Times of India group awarded him with “Bengal Corporate Award”.

Well that’s not all to his credit, Bhandari hols few more portfolios, such as Executive Member of TDAI, President (IT) in MCC, Executive Committee member of MAIT, Invitee Ex. Committee member of BNNCI, member of Cosmo club and Space circle club.
