The Bandish Group, LLC, is an executive life sciences recruitment firm that offers exclusive retained recruitment services. It specializes in recruiting for the life sciences sectors inclusive of pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, medical device, CDMOs, pharmaceutical construction, cleanrooms, AI, and the digital healthcare industries. The firm is headquartered in the Greater Philadelphia region and provides nationwide executive life sciences recruitment services. The Bandish Group was founded in 1996.

The Silicon Review reached out to Jackie Bandish, Managing Member and Head of Life Sciences Recruitment and Operations at The Bandish Group, and here is what she had to say.

Interview Highlights.

When Jackie founded the firm it was based on honesty, high values, morals, and ethics. Her integrity is shared with her team, and they all commit to offering professional recruitment services with a personal touch. As a result, The Bandish Group has consequently become a pioneer in the life sciences recruitment sector. On July 1st, it will mark its 27th anniversary.

Setbacks are a part of every growing business. Tell us about a few roadblocks and learning lessons that helped THE BANDISH GROUP grow through the years.

Throughout the years, the firm went through the era, the 2008 Global Financial Crisis (GFC), RPOs entering the industry to aid in portal recruiting, and most recently Covid-19. These were all times of economic uncertainty. Through grit and determination, THE BANDISH GROUP has not only withheld its firm roots but has also continued to expand their reach within the life science sectors.

The Bandish Group prioritizes offering clients individualized service and establishing itself as a trustworthy partner. The teamputs a lot of effort into learning about the problems that clients are facing so that they can tailor their services to meet each client's needs. It is a genuine partnership where both parties value and respect one another.

Q. What strategies does THE BANDISH GROUP implement to address the various needs of its clients?

The firm deploys a three-touchpoint approach that involves meeting with client leadership and building a partnership to become a trusted extension of their HR and marketing team.

The clients and candidates both go through a thorough vetting process before signing an engagement letter. Once the search is executed, the team identifies the industry’s top talent and represents the candidates they consider to be ‘the best fit’ for their client. The BANDISH GROUP team members remain intermediaries and liaise for the client and candidate. All parties involved receive continuous feedback and updates throughout the process. At the end of the search, closure will be provided to those candidates not chosen. This is a must. This is the ultimate respect candidates deserve when we represent them to a client. The firm also remains active after the onboarding of the chosen candidate with a quarterly follow-up with both the candidates and clients. For the team, it is not a once-done transaction but a relationship they build and nourish.


Q. Can you introduce us to your services? What are their key features?

The Bandish Group offers a suite of services, such as a Point of Contact (POC) for clients, candidate assessments, team support, research resources, and weekly client meetings to keep the search moving effectively and efficiently. These features provide the team with the capacity to remain adaptable to make any changes needed during the search process.

Q. Tell us about THE BANDISH GROUP team. What value do they bring to the company?

The BANDISH GROUP team brings over 70 years of combined recruiting experience, with an average tenure of 15 years per recruiter at the firm. Each team member has full life-cycle recruitment skills and has a say in the organization. THE BANDISH GROUP is branching out and building alliances with additional clients to be an extension of these client’s business development teams. The team excels at networking and building relationships as trusted partners.

Q. How do you see THE BANDISH GROUP changing in five years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?

I am mentoring and guiding my team to take over more of the operations side of the business as I look forward to planning my semi-retirement. This will allow me to be a consultant for my team and allow them the opportunity to learn how to run the business operations and to grow it further. 

Q. Is there anything you would like to add before we wrap up?

I feel blessed over the years to have worked with so many professionals and to meet so many wonderful people. My team is amazing, and they are family to me. My business became my life, my hobby, and my everything. For me, The Bandish Group has been a true gift because when I wake every day, I never feel like I am going to work. My team and I are family and together we truly enjoy providing professional and personal executive search services to the life sciences industry.
