The Methodical Group is a group of companies divided into two horizontal practices - consultancy and staffing—that serve multiple verticals such as healthcare, life sciences, technology and media. The company’s roots were in healthcare IT, and they have adapted their proven methodologies into other industries. The Methodical Group’s methodologies are divided into six core frameworks that allow it to deliver exactly what the client needs, exactly when they need it - whether it is finding a new CFO, running an offshore development shop or call center, or providing client accounting services or IT security services. Collectively, the group offers over 400 services and products to their clients across divisions, all leveraging those six core methodologies.

The Methodical Group’s motivation was to fill the gap left by large consultancies that charge high fees and provide mediocre satisfaction levels for clients. Our group is a firm of experts who provide direct, low-cost, and high-value services to clients by reducing overhead and maintaining their status as thought leaders. The Methodical Group’s staffing division was a natural outgrowth of implementing solutions for clients, who then needed resources to maintain and operate them. Who better to help you find the right staff, than the people who implemented the system they will be using or maintaining?

In conversation with Joshua Mann, CEO of The Methodical Group

Q. How do you optimize and update your solutions regularly? How do you gather insights from clients or their consumers?

We believe that continuous improvement is the key to success, and we strive to gather internal and external feedback from our KPIs, employees, clients, and candidates at every opportunity. We follow a virtuous cycle on every engagement, whether it was a project we won or even a bid we lost, by sending out surveys. We use this feedback to refine our end-to-end processes and ensure that we continue to deliver high-quality solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations. We also perform retrospectives on all projects to refine our end-to-end processes. As industry thought leaders, we are often able to stay up to date on the latest happenings and trends through our conference attendance, speaking engagements, community involvement, and thought leadership collaborations.

Q. What are the factors that affect the pricing of your solutions?

As a multi-national staffing and consulting company, who operates in three countries, we must monitor international markets and exchange rates, geopolitical situations, disaster recovery, insurance policies, and banking systems. All of these factors add time and overhead, but we’ve found the right balance to do this in a cost-effective way without sacrificing customer satisfaction or passing along increased rates.

On the consultancy side, our rate cards are structured based on a number of criteria, including years of experience, spoken language, specific skills and expertise, among others. We tend to pay our workforce significantly more than the market average, which leads to high-quality work and client satisfaction, but we do take a lower margin to do so. On the staffing side, we follow industry norms and offer discounts for exclusivity and volume on job orders.

Q. About adaptability, how do you stay relevant to the people’s interests and needs in this high volatile market?

As a smaller firm, we focus on being experts and leading the way in niche areas and drive breakthroughs in those niche areas we serve, often making us pioneers in our own right. We don’t spend our time and energy in fads and trends, which is reserved for larger companies with more resources to waste. Instead, we focus on understanding our clients’ needs and staying abreast of exactly what we can do to help them. We also employ industry thought leaders, notable speakers, and authors to help us envision future solutions. Our approach to adaptability is to stay agile and flexible, always ready to pivot and adjust our strategies and solutions based on changing market conditions and client needs. We are constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve our processes and services, whether it’s through new technology, talent development, or partnerships with other companies. This is one of the reasons we thrive on our virtuous cycle.

Q. Do you have any new services ready to be launched?

Yes, we are always looking for ways to innovate and expand our offerings to meet the evolving needs of our clients. Some of our latest offerings include client accounting services, robotic process automation, workflow automation, quality assurance engineering as a service, technical writing as a service, and cybersecurity solutions. We are committed to providing our clients with the best possible services and solutions to help them achieve their business goals and stay ahead of the competition.

Q. What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

At The Methodical Group, we are always looking to the future and exploring new opportunities to grow and expand our business. We plan to continue to innovate and develop new solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients, while also expanding our reach into new markets and verticals. We believe that our focus on expertise, innovation, and customer satisfaction will continue to drive our success and position us as a leader in the staffing and consulting industries.
