Like most students, Sam Mathew was a dreamer. From those early days, two dreams stuck with him: to make a positive impact on peoples’ lives and to build something the world would respect. After considering the options, Sam figured the best chance he had of achieving those two dreams was to build a strong company. It is at that moment the wheels were set in motion to create Applexus Technologies.

After Sam graduated from Engineering School in 1999, he was on the lookout for business ideas. Around that same time, he heard about the Information Technology industry and the vast possibilities to bring innovation to life. He could see the potential but just knew so little about the topic and industry. He had to get some first-hand experience.

After some research, Sam found and joined an organization that trained recent graduates in IT disciplines. After six months of training, he landed his first job with a premier consulting company Larsen & Toubro and subsequently with one of the industry leaders in IT, Wipro Technologies. For four and a half years, Sam spent his time learning cutting-edge technologies and anchoring several key customer engagements.

In October of 2004, while living in Seattle, Sam Mathew took that stressful and scary jump, along with his wife, into entrepreneurship by forming its first company, Biz Aps. Five of his friends, who also shared in his dream, took the plunge as well and joined the company to form the consulting arm. In 2005, Biz Aps has rebranded Applexus Technologies and he continued his journey.
