Q. What is Vcheck Global’s Mission in the investigators industry?

At Vcheck Global, we approach our business with purpose. Our team is comprised of some of the best, most seasoned investigators with longstanding careers spent honing their skills and their global networks to know exactly how to get to the root of risk – be it bribery, corruption, money laundering, financial instability, or even reputation. Our investigators know focused skill hard work is the very thing that protects our clients from unwittingly doing business with bad actors. Our work isn’t just about “checking the box” to ensure a background check was done. Our work is about making sure we can identify criminal activity – the kind of criminal activity and money flow that funds terrorism, human trafficking, drug trafficking, sweatshops, modern slavery, and corruption that threatens the globe every day. Our team wears the “white hat”, and we take seriously our role in making the entire world a safer place to do business.

Q. How do you handle jurisdictions where public records are not accessible or cannot be relied upon, like the Middle East or parts of Asia?

We do that in two ways. First, we access specialized databases that contain information on corporate registration, beneficial ownership, litigation, and other regulatory documents. Second, we have a global network of on-the-ground intelligence sources and agents to gather information that isn’t available online or to people outside the jurisdiction. We also conduct reputational inquiries on the subjects. This helps us relevant information from local regulators and/or courts but also corroborate and elaborate on anything we find with human intelligence. We score our sources on access to information (how do they know what they know) and reliability (what has their track record been with us). In these jurisdictions, we use multiple streams of intelligence to produce a finished product. By triangulating the information pulled from digital data sources and what we learn from our human intelligence network, we have a track record of being able to paint a clear picture of the subject for our clients.

Q. What do you think differentiates Vcheck Global from other companies in this industry?

The platform perfectly complements our deep due diligence expertise and investigative services by using AI-driven technology to automate the high-speed, high volume components of onboarding and monitoring large portfolios of third parties against hundreds of data sources and risk attributes. With this platform’s launch, we complement our ability to do deep-dive background investigations and human source work with intelligent technology to wrangle the complex network of data sources and global risk screening at increasingly high speeds and volumes.

Q. So what does the future look like for Vcheck?

We expect to continue our track record of explosive growth and continuous innovation that disrupts the status quo creating responsive risk-based tools and technologies. We prevailed through COVID-19 as a company whose commitment to service and creative problem solving was unwavering. Our agile and creative team was able to take our company fully remote without missing a beat.
