In 1962, Accuride began as a small tool and die shop producing top-quality slides for tape drives and copy machines. Filling a market need for precision slide products, Accuride rapidly expanded, growing the product line and moving into a broad range of markets and applications.

Today, Accuride has nearly 1 million square feet of manufacturing space around the world and is the largest company in the world dedicated to the innovative design and manufacture of sliding hardware.

Manufacturing Expertise

Over the years, Accuride has developed an unparalleled level of engineering expertise in product design, tooling, and manufacturing. It guides clients from the initial concept to product integration. Accuride offers a wide variety of off-the-shelf and custom solutions. They work closely with the customers to develop practical and cost-effective solutions. Whether it's a single component or an entire assembly, Accurate has the resources to make it happen. Prototypes can be made in zinc, aluminum, plastic, and steel.

The North American facilities feature the largest tooling operation in the industry. Accuride's technical staff builds and maintains all tools including progressive dies and roll forms. The firm’s standardized methods ensure identical tools and manufacturing results at all facilities worldwide. Accuride can reliably handle projects of any size. The company purchases more than 100,000,000 pounds of steel per year and has in-house steel mills that offer the advantage of design and production flexibility. As the largest zinc plating manufacturer in the world, Accuride plates over 75,000,000 sq. ft. of material per year. Accuride was the first slide manufacturer to electrocoat ball bearing slides and we've developed finishes that vigorously resist corrosion.

The man driving it all

Richard F. (Rick) Dauch is the President & CEO of Accuride Corporation. He joined Accuride in February 2011 as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors. Prior to joining Accuride, Mr. Dauch served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Acument Global Technologies. In this capacity, he was responsible for leading with 2,500 employees in North America, South America and Europe in support of brand-leading customers in the aerospace and defense, automotive, heavy truck, industrial, non-automotive transportation, and related end markets.
