In the highly competitive world we live in, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) often find themselves overshadowed by corporate giants with deep pockets. Competing for visibility online requires more than just a well-designed website—it demands the right words, strategically placed, to attract and convert potential customers. That’s where Writing Web Words Inc. comes in. Founded in 2008 by seasoned digital marketing expert Ray Litvak, Writing Web Words Inc. has been on a mission to help SMBs stand out in the crowded online space. With a foundation rooted in Litvak’s early experience as an e-commerce consultant at Yellow Pages, he identified a crucial gap: while small businesses had excellent offerings, they struggled to rank on search engines due to inadequate content. Recognizing this, Litvak launched Writing Web Words Inc. to bridge the divide, ensuring that businesses of all sizes have access to high-quality, SEO Content Writing Services that speak to both search engines and real people.

What sets Writing Web Words Inc. apart is its commitment to a hands-on, personalized approach. Unlike many

copywriting agencies that churn out generic content, the company takes the time to deeply understand each client’s unique brand voice, target audience, and industry landscape. This tailored marketing and content strategy  has resulted in an impressive 85% referral rate from satisfied clients across Toronto, Canada, and North America.

In conversation with Ray Litvak, CEO & Head SEO Copywriter of Writing Web Words Inc.

Q. Writing Web Words Inc. emphasizes “people-first content.” Can you explain why this approach is crucial for SEO success today?

Great content benefits both your audience and search engines. If you write solely for SEO, the result can feel robotic and unengaging. However, when you prioritize creating valuable, helpful content for your audience, it naturally becomes more engaging, builds trust, and keeps visitors on your site longer—ultimately increasing conversions. The best part? Google recognizes this user engagement and rewards it with higher rankings and featured snippets, making it a win-win for both visibility and customer experience.

Q. Can you explain your content marketing services in simple terms?

Sure! At Writing Web Words Inc., we help businesses get noticed online with smart, high-quality website content. Here’s what we do:

  • SEO Copywriting – We write content that helps your website show up higher in search results AND makes visitors want to act.
  • Business Blogging – We create blogs that emphasize your expertise in your field while boosting your search rankings.
  • SEO Content Writing – From website pages to LinkedIn bios to landing pages, we craft words that work.
  • SEO Copywriting Training – Want to learn how to do it yourself. We teach you how to write content that ranks and sells.

We’re not a content mill pumping out lorem ipsum. Every piece of content we write is built for your target audience, your brand, your voice, and your business goals.

Q. How has the landscape of SEO copywriting changed over the years, and what key trends should businesses focus on in 2025?

SEO Copywriting used to be all about stuffing pages with keywords and crossing your fingers. Not anymore. Google is smarter now. In 2025, businesses need to focus on:

  • Writing for people first – Answer real questions, solve problems, and make your content engaging and easy to read.

  • Optimizing for voice search – People are talking to their phones more than ever. Your content should sound natural, like how people speak.
  • Making mobile a priority – If your site isn’t mobile-friendly, you’re losing customers. Period.
  • Using AI wisely – AI tools can help with research, but they can’t replace emotion, personality and real human connection in writing.

In short: Be helpful, be human, and keep up with the latest SEO trends. Writing superior SEO content that converts is an art and a science.

Q. With the rise of AI-generated content, how do you balance automation with high-quality, human-written copy?

AI is a great tool, but it’s not a writer. It can crunch data, suggest topics, and speed up some tasks, but it can’t tell stories, add personality, or make people feel something. That’s where we come in. At Writing Web Words Inc., we use AI to help us, not replace us. In fact, many of our clients appear prominently in AI Overviews in ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI search platforms for their primary services and keywords. We still rely on human creativity, emotion, and experience to write website content that stands out. AI might be good, but it can’t crack a joke, emote, or write with heart. (Yet!)

Q. You have a background in judo and hold a black belt. How has your experience in martial arts influenced your leadership and business philosophy?

Judo isn’t just about throwing people around (though that part is fun). It’s about strategy, patience, and adapting to change. That’s exactly how I run my business. In judo, you don’t rely on brute strength; you use your opponent’s energy to your advantage. In Japanese, this is known as Seiryoku-Zenyo, ‘’Good use of energy.’’ In business, you don’t fight Google’s algorithms—you learn how to work with them. And just like in judo, success in SEO comes from skill and perseverance, not luck.

Q. As a leader in the SEO copywriting industry, how do you foster creativity and innovation within your team?

Creativity comes from having fun and feeling inspired. I ensure my team:

  • Keeps up to date and learns, and applies new content writing techniques.
  • Brainstorms ideas together—two (or three) heads are better than one.
  • Writes content they’d want to read themselves.
  • Stays passionate about storytelling, not just rankings.

When you love what you do, creativity flows naturally.

Q. What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

We’re always evolving. In fact, we’re expanding our SEO Copywriting courses to help more business owners create website copy in-house, and we’re refining our strategies to stay ahead of AI-driven search changes. One thing won’t change: Our commitment to helping small businesses grow online with high-quality, engaging business blogs, and SEO content writing services and more. Whatever the future brings, we’ll be there, making sure our clients stay ahead and on top. Want to improve your website’s content? Visit www.writingwebwords.com/and let’s chat!
