The mailing/postal service dates back hundreds of years; it’s an established institution that gained a place at the heart of our society. However, this institution has come under threat in recent years as digital technology has reduced the need to send communications using the mailing service. As of recent mail, volumes are bucking public perception. Marketing mail has been up every year since 2012. First class mail has stabilized, declining less than 2% annually the last couple years. With the amount of mail that flows through the US economy and the USPS being under fiscal pressure, something has to give.

There are groves of people behind the scenes that contribute to getting mail from preparation to your mailbox. In order to maintain its position, the postal/mailing service may need to consider some drastic changes. It’s impossible to work against this new wave of technology, so how can postal operators use it to their advantage? Take a look at the opportunities available, and a company that is changing the mailing industry for the better!

Texas based Royal Alliances(RA) is forever altering the mailing industry by transforming competitors into allies in a network that benefits all members. Royal Alliances is a nationwide network of individual mail service providers working together to optimize postage, logistics, and operational savings. The network is based on its free-to-use software that supports third party mail share efforts, logistics, tracking, accounting, and data security. This cloud-based, disruptive technology enables competitors to work together for the overall good of the mailing industry.

Mailing Evolution bought by Business Revolution

The company was founded in 2013, by Aaron McDaniel and Jerry Lammons. The duo realized that customers could benefit from a nationwide network while being able to have full accountability and transparency anytime, anywhere. Royal Alliances started by creating an Alliance network to share mail. Initially RA Mail was expected to lose money for testing purposes based on low volumes as the offset of postage savings would not cover the additional logistical impacts to move mail. The initial testing was all based on a dedicated FTL to ensure timing of Hub delivery and processing of those volumes. As soon as the flow was stabilized and volumes were identified to send, the solution easily took shape and provided all parties with additional costs savings and shared revenues.

Royal Alliances controlled their initial growth to ensure they met the full level of requirements essential to moving mail in accordance with the USPS. RA has reached a stage in which they are a platform to handle all postage fund transfers. This year RA felt that it was ready to open the doors to potential partners looking to save postage while simultaneously simplifying their process or operations, without losing visibility and verification of delivery.

Royal Alliances is the Future of Mail

When asked what makes royal alliance so popular Jerry Lammons, the Co-founder says “Customers are looking to streamline operations to enhance delivery or simply looking for savings without losing delivery performance. Within this industry, like most, the two important variables are Time and Money. With Royal Alliances, why not pick up a little bit of both!”

The Roadmap Ahead

Royal Alliances has recently developed a solution to merge/or edit multiple mail files using a simple interface. This will allow instant postage savings to be captured with the ability to then utilize RA Mail to obtain even higher savings postage/labor savings to be achieved. The company’s stated goal is to facilitate the movement of 50% of the mail throughout the country. RA strongly values maintaining a working relationship with the USPS and adding value for the federal agency by adding transparency and efficiency to presort companies, print shops and mail owners.
