Enpidia is a state-of-the-art training academy started by NephroPlus that churns out the finest dialysis technicians and nurses in the industry.

As NephroPlus expands across the length and breadth of India, one challenge continued to bother us – the severe shortage of trained and certified dialysis staff. At NephroPlus, guest care always comes first. It is NephroPlus’ belief that the people who actually interact with and care for its guests are the most important among the entire team. To ensure that NephroPlus employ only the very best when it comes to guest care, NephroPlus launched the company’s own training academy.

Enpidia has tied up with BONENT, the reputed certification agency for dialysis technicians and nurses in the US. Additionally, NephroPlus is impanelled with Bharat Sevak Samaj, Chennai and offer dialysis courses in association with this Government-recognized University.

During the last 3 years, it have trained more than 200 students and placed them successfully in its centers and elsewhere.

Dialysis Olympiad

NephroPlus firmly believe that every person on dialysis can – and should lead a normal life. By a normal life, it means to be able to work, to exercise, travel and have fun. To prove to the world that this really is true, it organize the World’s only Dialysis Olympiad – an Olympics style event exclusively for those on dialysis.

Patients from all over the country are invited for a one-day event to a city where they participate in events like Walkathon, Cycling, Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, and Carroms etc.

A large number of people on dialysis from all over the country participate in this event. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded in each event. The event usually ends with an Antakshari kind of music competition.

This event truly showcases the fact that people on dialysis can do things that otherwise healthy people can do. Though kidney disease is a physiological disease, there is a huge psychological component to it. Those who think they can, sure do!

VIKRAM VUPPALA, FOUNDER & CEO: Vikram is a seasoned healthcare strategy consultant with over 12 years of global healthcare industry experience.

Prior to founding NephroPlus, Vikram was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company in their New Jersey office. He also founded an internal management consulting group at Abbott Laboratories helping key management on various strategic and sales force management issues.

Vikram did his Bachelors in Chemical engineering from IIT-Kharagpur, Masters in Computer Science from University of Illinois, and a full-time MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth school of business.
