Mike Baker, Co-Founder, President, and CEO: Mike Baker is the Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of dataxu. Mike is a regularly published thought leader and frequently speaks at business, academic, and marketing events, sharing his passion for data science and digital transformation. Quoted in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes and Advertising Age, his unwavering commitment to innovation secured his Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year award. An early believer in mobile, Mike was CEO of mobile marketing pioneer Enpocket (acquired by Nokia) as well as Chairman of mobile programmatic pioneer Nexage (acquired by AOL/Verizon). He is an angel investor in dozens of companies. Featured in the BBC’s documentary on “big data”, you can say Mike knows a thing or two about business in the digital age.
Willard Simmons, Co-Founder, CTO and EVP of Product Development: Dr. Willard (Bill) Simmons is the brain behind dataxu's core technology, which he developed while earning his Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT. Bill came to dataxu with true rocket science credentials: he developed and tested real-time flight software for guidance, navigation, and control of the Atlas family of space launch vehicles. He is an expert in optimal system design and in developing reliable real-time software–skills he put to use when he co-founded dataxu.
Sandro Catanzaro, Co-Founder, and Chief Innovation Officer: Prior to co-founding dataxu, Sandro held positions at Bain & Company and NASA, where he straddled the worlds of science and business strategy. Based on research he did at MIT, he co-invented the real-time optimization algorithm that lies at the core of the dataxu technology platform. Sandro is a respected industry thought leader and is a frequent speaker at events such as Cannes Lions, dmexco and the NAB Show. His perspective on the future of marketing, ranging from Programmatic TV to Advanced Analytics, has been influencing the industry for more than a decade. He is a founding member of the ABCD cross-functional PTV working group, which includes companies such as AOL, FOX, Havas, IPG and Omnicom Media Group; he is also a member of the I-COM Global Chief Analytics Officer Council. Sandro holds an MS from the MIT Sloan School of Management, an MS from MIT’s Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and a BS from the University of Buenos Aires.
