Innovative communications service providers need a robust platform to help them master and monetize the complex infrastructure between their subscribers and the cloud. To compete today, service providers must commit to deploying a software-defined network, owning the subscriber experience and leveraging analytics to anticipate their subscribers’ needs. One such solution provider on which they can rely on is Calix.

Calix is the leading global provider of the cloud and software platforms, systems, and services required to deliver the unified access network and smart premises of tomorrow. Solutions offered by Calix

Calix Smart Home and Business: For the subscribers, the smart home shouldn’t be a confusing mix of connected sensors and devices. It should be a manageable and robust ecosystem that works together seamlessly.

Consumer-brand companies have found ways to create products and services that are delivered on top of the broadband network that companies have built. Now it’s time to elevate their brand from being the ‘provider of connectivity’ to the ‘enabler of rich subscriber experiences’ in the smart home. It is possible by turning the potential confusion, disorder, and chaos associated with the smart home into an open, managed, and secure ecosystem that can be harnessed for the client’s subscribers. But they need to act quickly.

The Calix Smart Home and the Business solution has four components that, when combined, enables service providers to unlock the full potential of the smart home. The four components are as follows:

  • Calix EXOS: Calix EXOS is the Smart Home Operating System that reduces development cycles and allows new services to be brought to market faster than ever
  • Calix GigaSpire: The Calix GigaSpire MAX and GigaSpire BLAST are not typical residential gateways; they are premium smart home systems
  • Calix Cloud: It allows turning the subscribers’ vision of a smart home into a revenue opportunity while tackling the chaos and complexity
  • Calix Solutions Exchange: The Calix Solutions Exchange, which will feature pre-integrated smart home solutions from an expanding ecosystem of integrated partner and private label solutions bundles
  • Calix Cloud: Calix Cloud analyzes network, system, device, and subscriber behavioral data to generate insights that are delivered through role-specific dashboards. These insights help the clients to discover opportunities, simplify decision making and elevate the subscriber experience.

The formula for success is simpler than anyone thinks. The company believes that in order to be successful, a service provider just needs to leverage the three best practices from over 1400 innovators from around the world using Calix solutions:

  • Take advantage of the network and behavioral analytics to optimize business
