The Silicon Review
The foundation for real-time applications at massive scale, DataStax Enterprise makes it possible for companies to exceed expectations through consumer and enterprise applications that provide responsive and meaningful engagement to each customer wherever they go. Its product also gives businesses full data autonomy, allowing them to retain control and strategic ownership of their most valuable asset in a hybrid cloud world.
The world is changing at a rate we could never have imagined. Today’s digitally empowered and geographically distributed customers are radically connected, hyper-informed and always-on. To survive and thrive in this customer-centric, data-driven economy, businesses need to rethink the technology infrastructure on which they are building and deploying mission-critical cloud applications and move to a modern, distributed database platform. In doing so, businesses are able to make data the centerpiece of their organization, build real-time value at an epic scale and transform into an Internet giant.
It starts with a human desire, and when a universe of technology, devices, and data aligns, it ends in a moment of fulfillment and insight. Billions of these moments occur each second around the globe. They are moments that can define an era, launch an innovation, and forever alter for the better how we relate to our environment. DataStax is the power behind the moment. Built on the unique architecture of Apache Cassandra™, DataStax Enterprise is the always-on data platform and has been battle-tested for the world’s most innovative, global applications.
With more than 500 customers in over 50 countries, DataStax provides data management to the world’s most innovative companies, such as Netflix, Safeway, ING, Adobe, Intuit, and eBay. Data Requirements of the Right-Now Economy
Users demand more from their applications every day, and the Right-Now Economy is driven by the five dimensions of these new demands:
“DataStax Enterprise also provides an intuitive management console called OpsCenter which made it easy to manage and scale our database environment to meet demands.”
- Mark Dash, AVP, Information Technology at Penn Mutual
“We are handling millions of transactions and writes per second and can’t afford downtime or data loss. DataStax allows us to manage this tremendous volume of streaming, time-series data at scale.”
- Gene Stevens, Co-Founder & CTO, ProtectWise
“This level of security ensures there’s no penetration of the systems. So we really have built an incredibly secure ecosystem and we would not have been able to do so without DataStax
- Jason Atlas, VP Engineering & Technology, IID
“DataStax really helps us scale our environments infinitely as we grow beyond the capabilities of single or even a cluster of computers.”
- Steve Hirsch, Chief Data officer, ICE, the parent company of NYSE
