“Cybersecurity protection in every camera”

The company was established in 2003 and Headquartered at Glendale, CA, United States. MICHAEL KAPLINSKY holds post as CEO for Arecont. Arecont Vision leads the way in megapixel video with cutting edge innovations, superior performance, and the broadest selection of professional-grade megapixel IP cameras.

The Foundation

Arecont Vision is exclusively focused on megapixel (MP) technology and, as the industry leader, has contributed more to the advancement of megapixel imaging for professional security applications than any other company in the security market. “Our worldwide installed base of megapixel cameras crosses a broad spectrum of applications and venues a proven testament to Arecont Vision’s leadership in developing innovative megapixel imaging technologies and Made in the USA products,” says Team.

As a result of the company’s best-in-class product architecture, they have typically introduce a new imaging technology ahead of competitors because they don’t have to wait until a new off-the-shelf ASIC is available. Arecont Vision cameras are based upon Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology, on which we deploy our in-house developed Massively Parallel Image Processing architecture, now in the 5th generation in Surround Video multi-sensor and Mega Video families. This unique architecture cyber-hardens Arecont Vision cameras from misuse in cyberattacks while extending their useful life by enabling new security and feature upgrades to be applied as they become available.

Arecont Vision offers the largest selection of professional-grade megapixel cameras available worldwide  and their product line includes H.264 and JPEG 1.2, 1.3, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 20, and 40 megapixel models available in their MegaVideo, MegaBall, MegaDome, MegaView, and SurroundVideo lines. We also offer the industry’s first and still best panoramic and Omni-directional multi-sensor cameras in our SurroundVideo series. We also offer 4K technology (8MP at 30 frames per second). All Arecont Vision megapixel cameras offer a superior price performance ratio and integration with best in breed VMS platforms. Arecont Vision’s suite of multi-megapixel cameras will make any IP video network execution better and deliver the greatest ROI as compared against conventional cameras. The company also supports industry standards including ONVIF and PSIA for maximum integration support, and go beyond with their Mega Lab testing and certification facility and knowledge center.

Reliable Solution

Arecont Vision leads the way in megapixel video. Our products are designed and built in the U.S.A., and leverage our cutting-edge features and technologies. Explore this page to learn about the thinking behind the best megapixel cameras in the video surveillance industry, and the features and capabilities that our cameras deliver.

The Benefit of Arecont Vision Quality Megapixel Resolution

Arecont Vision megapixel technology delivers superior image quality, increases video coverage, and reduces overall system costs by covering larger areas with fewer cameras. Catching a suspect or car involved in a crime or incident often comes down to the clarity in which a surveillance camera captures a face or license plate. Arecont Vision technology includes excellent glass lens imaging packages, innovative designs, and outstanding resolution. Arecont Vision can dramatically reduce the number of cameras required for projects while increasing image clarity and situational awareness coverage.

Extreme Lighting Conditions

Video surveillance is a 24-hour per day operation. Maintaining a clear and detailed visual through fluctuating lighting conditions can be challenging. Arecont Vision offers several industry technologies to deal with the harshest of lighting environments from intense backlight to low light and no light conditions.

Performance

Arecont Vision delivers proven performance, including unmatched cybersecurity protection, thanks to our FPGA technology and massively parallel image processing architecture. We can add new features and capabilities to existing cameras, extending the useful life of our products to the benefit of customers. Arecont Vision cameras also balance bandwidth requirements with storage demands.

Easy Installation

Speeding up the installation process positively affects the total cost of ownership. Arecont Vision® offers a number of innovative housing designs and features that aid in creating a faster and easier installation experience as well as a precise camera setup.

Interoperability with Partners

Arecont Vision believes in maintaining strong partnerships with our VMS partners, manufacturers, and integrators, and providing them the tools they need with the best possible compatibility. Arecont Vision’s relationships and compatibility with their future-proof API gives them a competitive edge in the security camera industry.

Versatility & Size Matters

Arecont Vision takes pride in having the most highly versatile and smallest form factor megapixel cameras in the industry. Leading the way in panoramic megapixel technology since 2006, Arecont Vision has continued to build on this success with the Omni track design that offers seemingly endless multi-sensor surveillance opportunities. The MegaVideo Flex tethered cable design opens the door to previously unthinkable installation setups. Powerful and loaded with features, the small size of many cameras in the Arecont Vision portfolio are surveillance industry game changers.

Environmental & Standards

Many Arecont Vision cameras are designed to meet important compliance standards to indicate, for example, that they are reliable for outdoor use in harsh operating conditions or capable of withstanding attacks from vandals. Arecont Vision cameras are built to be tough and compliance standards are proof of this.
