thesiliconreview-tarique-mustafa-founder-ceo-ghangorcloud“We offer industry’s first and only solution to provide comprehensive protection of all data throughout the enterprise without any requirement for manual tagging.”

Brainchild of Tarique Mustafa, GhangorCloud, a 2014 established company offers innovative and groundbreaking 4th Generation Data Leak and Exfiltration (DLE) Prevention solution. In just a few years of its inception, the company has carved a niche for itself which others can only desire. GhangorCloud’s unique 4th generation DLE Prevention solution automates the critical functions of Data Classification, Security Policy Generation and Security Enforcement. It is “Industry’s First and Only” solution so far that provides protection against both “Accidental and Malicious Data Exfiltration Attacks”.

Positioned as the most advanced generation of Data Leak and Exfiltration (DLE) Prevention solution available, GhangorCloud continues to innovate by adding additional functionality, such as Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) functionality to the product. Currently having a strategic focus on Data Leak and Exfiltration Prevention, for future, the company is extending their solution to enable Cybersecurity for Data/Information assets against malicious Cyberattacks.

Headquated in San Jose, CA, the company serves big industry players in the US, Middle East and Asia.

Unique Offerings

GhangorCloud’s 4th Generation DLP technologies successfully addresses the key issues and limitations of the existing traditional Data Leak Prevention solutions for Enterprise networks, while providing superior accuracy, performance and maintainability. The ability to automatically identify content, automatically classify it, automatically generate security policies in real-time without requiring constant tedious manual intervention, and provide real-time protection against purposeful Malicious Data Leak makes it unique.

Previously, the 3rd Generation DLP solutions required extensive manual configuration and maintenance.  They can be very easily by-passed or “gamed” by simple evasion techniques hence defeating their purpose.

GhangorCloud’s 4th Generation DLP solutions bypass the limitations of the previous 3rd Generation DLP solutions (viz a viz “Inadvertent or Innocent DLP” scenarios) as well as address the challenge of “Malicious DLP” scenarios. The GhangorCloud DLP solution does not depend on manual processes and is not susceptible to human errors making it invulnerable to purposeful acts of malicious Data Leakage.

Being ‘Best’ by all means

Established as “Industry’s First and Leading” 4th Generation Data Leak and Exfiltration (DLE) Prevention solution provider, GhangorCloud’ solution is the only DLE Prevention solution that can stop both ‘Accidental’ and ‘Malicious’ data leaks in real time.  The company’s exclusive patented technologies allow Automated Identification and Classification of confidential and sensitive information on all content – eliminating the need for any pre-tagging or fingerprinting.

The company has collected many laurels for delivering unique ‘Identity and Role-based’ paradigm through its correlation of Actors-Information-Operations. End-user and employee actions are evaluated and only permitted based upon their authorized roles within the enterprise, enforcing risk-based compliance to corporate policies.

Winning the Trust of Clients

Established in 2014, over the years GhangorCloud has gained the trust of many prestigious clients. All of their customers are major enterprises which have mandates to defend intellectual property, sensitive customer information and critical national security data. Their customers very well remark their ability to discover and stop Data Leak and Exfiltration attempts that were not even visible using previous generations of products. GhangorCloud takes into account major fortune 1,000 customers in the Hi-technology, Banking, Government, National Security Agencies and Oil & Gas verticals.

Case Study!!

World’s Leading Engineering Design Automation (EDA) Firm Protects Intellectual Property with Information Security Enforcer

A leading Engineering Design Automation (EDA) firm headquartered in San Jose, California and with multiple world-wide locations, experienced serious incidents of intellectual property leakage outside of the company. The company creates large amount of confidential intellectual property including Design Documents, Design Schematics, Source Code, Product Specifications and other proprietary technical information for its marquee clients in the hi-tech space. The company is contractually and legally required to provide appropriate safeguards against any violation of its clients’ intellectual property. As such the company needed to implement strong vigilance over the use, sharing, transfer and communication of any intellectual property related data and information within and outside of the company. Since the intellectual property is created and shared between multiple sites (the company has 17 sites around the globe), it is critical for the company to differentiate between permissible/authorized versus impermissible/unauthorized sharing and/or disclosure of intellectual property related information across the company and its outside partners.

The company needed to be able to enforce stringent controls on access to proprietary intellectual property information within their own infrastructure as well as during the transfer and sharing of this information with outside partners via web collaboration tools over multiple protocols. Industry’s “First and Only” Malicious DLP solution protects intellectual property from Accidental & Malicious leakage in “Realtime” – monitors large scale network, myriad of applications and data repositories. Furthermore, the company’s large corpus of intellectual property offers a large Attack Surface and as such is a prime potential target for Data Exfiltration attacks via APTs (Advanced Persistent Threats). Thus, the company needed a robust high fidelity solution for protection against Insider Malicious Data Leak (Industrial Espionage) as well as targeted Data Exfiltration Attacks (via APTs). The company required advanced DLP features to obviate Manual Processing of Data and Manual Definition of Policies so that human errors and any malicious intent can be eliminated. The ability to Automatically Identify, Classify, and enforce Access Control and Policy in Real-time on a large evolving corpus without performance degradation was mandatory requirement.

The company had previously deployed a leading 3rd Generation DLP solution. However, it was conclusively determined that the 3rd Generation DLP solution was mostly ineffective and had grossly failed to detect Data Leaks resulting in serious compromise of important intellectual property. The key reasons why the company selected GhangorCloud’s 4 th Generation DLP solution (Information Security Enforcer) to REPLACE the previously deployed DLP solution were as follows:

  • Automatic Classification of Sensitive Data
  • Automatic Generation of Policy
  • Advanced Role-based Access Control
  • Real-time Detection and Control of Exfiltration Attempts
  • Built-in Workflow and Forensic Analysis
