The mobility service of Prasanna Purple is divided in four verticals:
Intercity- Offering long distance bus services to people from one city to another city. Currently, the company provides around 23 shuttle services between Mumbai and Pune per day, in addition to 125 schedules per day all over Maharashtra and neighbouring states like Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh & Karnataka.
City bus business- In this vertical, the company provides scheduled city commuting services in cities like, Delhi, Surat, Indore and, Pune. The company buses transport over 3 lac passengers daily in all these cities. In past we have catered 10 cities in India.
Tour- In this vertical, Prasanna Purple provides hop on hop off city sightseeing bus service in cities like Delhi and Goa in association with State Tourism. We also offer domestic and international tours, service under the brand “Prasanna Holidays”.
Employee mobility- Offers employee transportation solutions by providing cabs & buses in different cities. This vertical also serves southern & western region of the country by having over 200 cabs & 300 buses in cities like Pune, Chennai and Bangalore.
We make use of latest monitoring technology to ensure safety and security of the students. Schools provide transport facilities to students studying in their schools. Under this activity, we supply quality schools bus service backed by best operational capabilities.

When it comes to buses, we work closely with our manufacturers to ensure best quality buses.”

Shedding light on how they see a difference in business before and after technological advancement, Prasanna Patwardhan, Chairman and Managing Director, says “Initially, when we started people were happy as we were taking them from one place to another and in today’s era people demand additional facilities like video coach, air condition buses, reclining seats, sleeper coaches and much more. These things have now became a necessity as passengers want to track their buses Live, book ticket on App, see everything integrated. People these days are very much interested in adapting technology which would make their booking easy, payment easy, provide some entertainment during the journey, and even post journey they want to get in touch with whatever schemes we are coming up with.”
Presently, Prasanna Purple is focused on adding more technology solutions to their existing systems, improving their processes and keeping a customer centric approach in all facets of the business. Knowing the Visionary
Started as a taxi business in 1986, the bulk business of public transport was commenced in the year 1988 with Prasanna Patwardhan at its helm. An avid entrepreneur at heart, coming from a joint family, he has been instrumental in the growth of the company. Also a National basketball player, Prasanna truly believes that being in sports has helped him in polishing his personality and dealing with people. “I joined my father‘s taxi business after completing graduation and management studies. Gradually, within two years, we launched Prasanna Purple serving north and western part of the country. Whatever we are today, I am thankful to my family as being in joint family has taught me everything. Growing up in a family with 24 people gave a tremendous impact on my personality, it has made me a better leader. I can accommodate myself with anybody else, deal with people better, I share responsibility, and dedicate more time to business. Also, being involved in Basket ball has thought me many things, it has polished my personality and this is how I can co-relate with people better.”
