Cybersecurity Expansion: Verizon expands its Cybersecurity Services

Cybersecurity Expansion: Verizon expands its Cybersecurity Services
The Silicon Review
06 June, 2018

The New York-based multinational telecommunications conglomerate, Verizon is adding new managed cybersecurity offerings to its services. By the move, the company’s threat-related data will be expanded across its own network to inform cyber-situational awareness for its customers.

According to Verizon, the new threat intelligence service will take their Cyber Intelligence to a new level by providing cybersecurity data to businesses around the world.

Verizon operates one of the largest global IP networks, which gives us a wide view into a large portion of the world’s data traffic,” said Bryan Sartin, executive director of security professional services, Verizon.

The availability of the new Threat Intelligence Platform Service will start from this fall. Recently, Verizon has teamed up  with a cybersecurity information firm, Anomali to deliver the resulting information through Anomali’s Threat Platform, which Verizon describes as a mission control center to operate the collection and integration of threat intelligence.  Additionally, Verizon will provide an option for its cybersecurity professionals for exploring on-site at customer locations.

When you cross-reference this with intelligence gleaned from over a decade of analysis from our DBIR series, it provides a treasure trove of cyber-intelligence that is hard to beat,” added Mr. Sartin.

According to reports by eSecurityPlanet, Verizon runs in three different operational centers in the USA. One of which is only for government customers, as well as well as two SOCs in Europe; and four more in the Asia-Pacific region, one of which serves only government customers.
