Hong Kong University and Micro...The University of Hong Kong (HKU) has made a partnership with tech giant Microsoft for Artificial Intelligence (AI) research on Monday.
According to HKU, they are very fortunate enough to partner with big players like Microsoft. The partnership is believed to pave a way for the HKU students and scientists to carry out AI research on the Microsoft’s AI platform. With that, they can also develop projects in different domains like healthcare, fintech, and smart city applications. Microsoft will also help students to learn more and polish their skills in the field of AI and data science, and provide them with a professional certification.
Since May, HKU has been supported by Microsoft and other industry leaders to roll out a six- week online course for their students and the rest of the world. It is Asia’s first fintech massive online course that is currently available.
According to Microsoft, the company is excited to partner with Hong Kong University, a world-renowned University. By combining AI with big data and cloud computing, they will go through the insights and focus on nurturing AI talent in Hong Kong. And with that, the tech giant is seeking to improve and save people’s lives with the AI in healthcare, as it is a global priority for every region.
