Oracle Corporation has launched the world’s first automated cloud application upgrade product for enterprises earlier this week. The launch will help the customers to cut down time and cost of cloud migration nearly by 30%.
“It’s now easier to move from Oracle e-Business Suite to Oracle Fusion ERP in the cloud than it is to upgrade from one version of e-Business Suite to another,” said Larry Ellison, Co-founder, Oracle Corporation.
Dubbed as Soar to the Cloud, the upgrade solution is created by different automated tools and by cloud methodologies. It will allow the customers to change their on-premises applications to Oracle Cloud Application within 20 weeks.
The tools that are embedded in the solution are meant for: discovery assessment, process analyzing, data automation, and configuring migration utilities, and rapid integration.
The process for automation is fuelled by Oracle’s True Cloud Method. To help the customers in ensuring a fast and predictable cloud upgrade, the service is guided by a committed concierge service. The intuitive mobile application will help the customers to track their new cloud monitoring status, which features a step-by-step implementation guide for following the correct process.
Currently, the new Oracle Soar is available for Oracle’s different platforms: e-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, SCM Cloud, EPM Cloud, and ERP Cloud.
The company will further invest in the development of the products and will seek to extend the solution to different cloud environments. According to Oracle, the new solution is perfect for the companies that have perfect knowledge of the Cloud and manages to push their limits.
