Bestmile raises cash in a new round of funding to manage fleets
The Silicon Review
29 August, 2019

Bestmile, a transportation logistics software startup has just raised $16.5 million in the latest round of funding. The Series B round was led by Blue Lagoon Capital and TransLink Capital, while previous investors include Airbus Ventures, Road Ventures, and Groupe ADP, among others.

Bestmile’s flagship product is its fleet management software which can greatly improve and optimize the logistics involved in operating fleets of vehicles. The best part about Bestmile’s software is its ability to collect real-time data about traffic conditions, demand, and supply to deploy an optimum number of vehicles on preferred routes according to demand. Furthermore, the company’s software can also be used by cab operators, public transit services providers, shuttle services, and ride-hailing companies, among others. Additionally, autonomous vehicle fleets can also leverage Bestmile’s software for their operations.

In light of various means for transporting people and goods within city limits, investors have been pouring increasingly large amounts of money into startups offering fleet management software. The market for such services has been rapidly growing all across the globe since the beginning of this decade. In addition to urban transport, Bestmile’s innovation can also be applied to the management of air fleets and also to urban air taxis which could be a rapidly emerging market.

Based in Switzerland, Bestmile operates an office in San Francisco and already has various shuttle operators in its clientele.
