Sharjah Might hit the Zero-Was...RECYCLING AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
Sharjah is on its way to hit a zero-waste target in the year 2021. Sharjah is using robots that optimize artificial intelligence to execute the entire process. This is said to focus on the collection of rubbish and other unwanted stuff. It will be handled by tesla waste collection Lorries and will be happening at the headquarters of the world’s smartest buildings. Many public awareness campaigns were conducted and for years door to door education was provided. It is because people in Sharjah still don’t separate plastic from paper.
The Chief Executive of Sharjah waste management company called – Bee’ ah, Khaled Al Huraimel did say that although the company has invested time in raising awareness it still has a long way to go. The Chief Executive added that the company will continue its process of investing in infrastructure but will be hoping to see more active participation within the community.
A place in Sharjah called the ‘tipping room’ has over 1,500 tonnes of solid waste. It is currently being processed every single day. But daily, around 8,000 tonnes of waste arrive every single day. Yet the warehouse processes the waste and soon at this pace Sharjah might hit a zero-waste target by 2021 say experts.
