Chick-fil-A Opens New Restaurant in The UK

America’s third-largest fast-food restaurant chain, Chick-fil-A, has made it’s the UK debut last week. On Thursday, it opened its first restaurant in the UK, CNBC reported. According to the company’s spokesperson, the company has confirmed a pilot licensed location in the UK on Oct.10th. The restaurant has already served nearly a thousand customers.

The driving force behind the company’s success to become America’s third-largest restaurant chain by system-wide sales is the sandwiches it makes.

Earlier, the company told that it would open a restaurant in Toronto in 2018. At that time, the plan was to introduce 15 new restaurants in the next five years in the greater Toronto area.  There is no information about further expansion plans in the UK.

The spokesperson added that for now the company is focused on the UK to gain knowledge about consumer interest in the brand and signature menu items.

Chick-fil-A has faced many criticisms at times because it continues to support for anti-LGBTQ organizations and donate charity to them, but it has been expanding fast because of its high food quality production and innovative franchise infrastructure.
