Oracle’s new Integration between Microsoft Teams and Oracle Digital Assistant

Oracle’s new Integration between Microsoft Teams and Oracle Digital Assistant
The Silicon Review
03 October, 2019

Oracle made an announcement about the availability of integration between Microsoft Teams and Oracle Digital assistant. Oracle Cloud Applications can now be accessed by enterprise consumers over the AI-powered voice experience in Teams. Business users can now easily interact with the business application using Oracle Digital Assistant from their Teams interface. AI-based interactions don’t require any professional training on different applications and it furthermore improves the efficiency of daily work tasks. This will allow the enterprise customers to run mission-critical workloads across Oracle cloud and Microsoft 365. When the Digital Assistant is enabled in the Teams app store, users can then request Oracle Cloud Applications like HCM and CX, through a conversation with a bot. All the skills from the assistant are auto-configured and auto-provisioned.

When Teams and Digital Assistant works together, it can transform the already existing workflow and save time. Furthermore, collaboration eliminates the need to switch between applications. For now the Teams and Oracle Digital Assistant provides consumers a seamless work environment to propel productivity and decision making. There is speculation that in future chatbots or out-of-the-box skills for Oracle CX Cloud, Oracle ERP Cloud, and Oracle ERP Cloud will be available in teams through the Digital assistant. Prebuilt features will allow the Employee to self-service for various scenarios in project management, sales, productivity, expenses, compensation and benefits, time and absence management, and recruiting.
