Vivo Unveils 5G Smartphone and others in MWC 2019

One of the popular smartphone manufacturers, Vivo, unveiled its first 5G smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2019 (MWC) event in Shanghai.

The company said that the smartphone will be out in the market by the third quarter of this year.

At the mega event, 5G applications were also showcased by Vivo. The 5G applications ranged from a 5G Cloud Game, 5G Screen Mirroring, and 5G EasyShare and so on. The 5G Cloud Game which was demonstrated on the smartphone also ran on the cloud via 5G networks.

Other innovations included an AR glass and120W Fast Charge. The AR Glass is supported by dual-screen display and 6DoF Technology. When connecting the VR glass to a 5G handset, users can experience amazing applications such as AR-based games, 3D HD video stream, object and facial recognition, and mobile office.

The projection of the content is done by the AR glasses and the 5G handsets will be the controlling unit; allowing the users to switch and select the desired applications. The following applications are currently supported by the AR glasses: facial and object recognition, mobile gaming, 5G theatre, and mobile office. For example, the smartphone can be used as a console while playing games and it can be turned into a keyboard while using office.

Coming to the Super FlashCharge 120W, the company believes that the charger can boost a smartphone’s 4,000mAh battery from 0 to 50 percent in just 300 seconds. The charger can fully charge a phone in 13 minutes.
