Kobe Bryant was one of the most successful basketball players who was well-known for his masterful scores. He died on Sunday following a helicopter crash that happened in Calabasas, California. Alex Villanueva, county sheriff of Los Angeles stated that there were nine people on board and there were no survivors. The sheriff did not confirm any identities because they were waiting for the coroner. Various sources suggest that Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter was also on board. The father and daughter duo were headed to an AAU basketball game when the helicopter crashed.

Adam Silver, NBA’s commissioner said that the NBA family is devastated by the tragic loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Kobe’s wife and their family. Bryant retired from the game in 2016 and his achievements include him as 5 times NBA champion, 18-time all-star, 2 times finals MVP, 2008 MVP, and 11 times All NBA first-team selection. He was a gold medalist at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics with USA Basketball. When the 2015-16 NBA season ended, Bryant was the third-highest scorer in NBA with 33,643 points. Recently the Lakers star player LeBron James scored 29 points to surpass Bryant.
