A new program named “International Women Entrepreneur Visitor Programme” for Pakistan has been announced by the National Centre for Women Entrepreneurship (NCWE), a non-profit organization based in the United States of America. In line with the women’s day that is to be celebrated on March 8, worldwide, the NGO has come up with the new program to launch Micro-lending for Women Entrepreneurs. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed by the Director of NCWE, USA, Shirley Supik and the Country head of Pakistan chapter, Uzma Raja. The signing is planned to take place in Washington, US, a day before the Women’s day.

A target of 50 million USD has been set up for Micro-lending Fund. Raising “Strong Women for Strong World” is the aim of the NCWE by training women for self-support. Uzma Raja, the Pakistan representative, stressed on the training and opportunities required for Pakistani women to showcase their skills. Young women from Pakistan will visit the USA in August and receive the training here. She has also said that some problems such as low wages to lack of educational, employment and health facilities are shared among many countries and that such shared problems call for shared solutions by allowing women from Pakistan to interact and learn from their counterparts from other countries.
