Google Stadia’s reign might be in trouble because Amazon is all set to storm the cloud gaming segment. Amazon’s next launch is expected to be a direct competitor to Microsoft’s Project X Cloud and Google Stadia. The retail giant has invested a huge unspecified amount into cloud gaming development and their service is named as Project Tempo. Their main goal is to become a leader in gaming from zero. Details about the service are still unknown but the company has decided to postpone the launch to 2021 due to unforeseen reasons. Amazon’s vice president for game services and studios, Mike Frazzini, stated that their idea is to bring together all of Amazon’s best into games.
Amazon was working in this project for quite a while, but it takes a lot of time to create games, so they want to use amazon’s practices to make games. Amazon’s first game is expected to be a fps shooting game called Crucible, and it will be released by the end of May under their subsidiary company. The second game will be called New World and it is an online multiplayer game in a fantasy setup. Previously Amazon had proved us that they have the ability to disrupt the established industries and their new venture is expected to create the same impact.
