Startups in the Asia pacific region can benefit greatly from Microsoft’s Highway to a 100 Unicorns initiative

Tech giant Microsoft has launched its Highway to a 100 Unicorns initiative in the Asia Pacific to create a stronghold in the region’s startup ecosystem. The Emerge X program was held in six Indian states, and out of 15,000 startups in those states, only 56 were selected. Winners of the event have benefitted greatly from that event, and they were also given access to funding, guidance on Azure, mentorship on AI, and much more. For achieving growth in the Asian Pacific region, it is important to innovate. Economies with high income end up investing in R&D three times more than their counterparts. To bring out the bright ideas of the people in that region, Microsoft will continue to work closely with the industry partners and government.

The companies under Microsoft’s wing will be nurtured well to turn them into a global enterprise. Asia Pacific region’s VP of sales, marketing, and operation, Ricky Kapur, has stated that the role played by startups for the economy is very crucial because they are the disruptors, early-adopters, and innovators. Through Microsoft’s initiatives, startups can now create a critical impact in the market and also drive digital innovation. Microsoft is looking forward to helping startups scale and achieves more.
