Recently, the Insider had conducted an investigation which revealed the workings of Danielle Bernstein, a popular influencer. Back in 2018, it was revealed that Danielle had collaborated with small designers and had created the brand WeWoreWhat. One of the designers had revealed in anonymity about the awful working conditions and professional repercussions they had to face if it was revealed. Danielle’s pattern of behavior was unacceptable according to the industry standards, and she has also flouted many copyright laws. Most of the designs from Danielle are sold by Macy’s, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and other prominent retailer.

But it must be noted that since 2018, Danielle’s Instagram account was accused of plagiarizing designs at least nine times. Furthermore, it was discovered by Insider that the influencer and her partners also copied three additional designs. Fashion insiders had previously reported that Bernstein was a very controlling and capricious boss. One of the designers who currently work with Onia has stated that they do not directly copy any designs. A former employee has stated that it wasn’t a concern to check whether the prints were being ripped off, and people never double checked. When Insider had tried to reach Danielle’s team for a comment, they were turned down.
