Spanish Quality Assurance Group Applus Successfully Acquires Enertis

Madrid-based quality assurance company Applus Services SA, which primarily provides inspection, testing, and certification services, in a recent announcement, has announced that it has successfully acquired Enertis, its compatriot and peer in the solar PV sector. The transaction has been finalized, and Enertis now forms part of Applus' energy and industry division. The acquiring company did not disclose the financial details.

Enertis started as an engineering, testing, and inspection services company that predominantly offered quality control and assurance services for the solar PV industry. It has its global presence in countries like Spain, the US, and Latin America markets, with customers ranging from financial institutions buying or financing projects, EPC contractors, plant owners, and operators. Later it expanded into the energy storage segment. The company has worked on over 2,500 projects and installed 135 GW of combined capacity power panels.

This is an exciting development, and this acquisition will add significant new capabilities to both the company's global offering in the renewables sector, where they can expect to continue growing meaningfully over the next few years. Enertis will help Applus to accelerate its ongoing expansion in solar and energy storage by combining efforts globally.
