The main motto of the deal is to establish Ausgrid as one of the leaders in the digital utility segment

Tech giants Microsoft and Infosys have signed a multi-year strategic deal with Ausgrid, one of the largest electricity distributors in Australia. The main motto of the deal is to establish Ausgrid as one of the leaders in the digital utility segment and help the company in its cloud transformation journey. Infosys has stated that the latest effort will boost Ausgrid's vision to expand its reach and empower communities with a focus on sustainability, affordability, and reliability.

The acting chief information officer of Ausgrid, Nick Crowe, has stated that there are more than 4 million Aussies who are reliant on the company's services, and they are maintaining their high-quality connectivity and reliability. He furthermore added that by accelerating the company's cloud transformation efforts by joining with Microsoft and Infosys, the reliability would be greatly improved.  Newer services from the company will also reach the market sooner. Ausgrid is certain that by adopting the cloud, they can increase their business operations' security, resilience, and agility. In its statement, Infosys has revealed that the cloud program for Ausgrid is designed to drastically improve the performance and cost to ownership of its IT applications and systems.
