Big Blue IBM and Honda Moto Europe have recently made an announcement that they have signed a five-year agreement. According to the deal, IBM is expected to manage Honda’s finance and procurement operation in Europe. The main motto of the contract is to deliver an integrated end-to-end service focused on helping Honda reduce costs, standardize processes, and improve efficiency. The latest deal is an extension of the already existing ten-year relationship where IBM Global was tasked with managing the procurement operation for Honda Moto Europe.

The workflow designed by IBM is meant for helping the company in cost savings, improve service levels, and productivity improvement for customers and suppliers. The agreement between both companies has come right in time when automotive companies around the world are embarking on a mission to transform the segment into an autonomous, electrified, shared, and connected world. The investments made in the transformation efforts require the companies to improve their efficiencies in the back-office so that the support is flexible enough to deal with the ever-changing business demands. GM of Honda Moto Europe  Joe Crump has stated that there is a strategic need to transform the company’s finance and procurement operations.
