Privacy Management for Microso...According to Microsoft’s Plans description, the latest privacy offering will work across SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Exchange Online
Tech giant Microsoft has recently made an announcement regarding the public availability of its Privacy Management for Microsoft 365. Previously companies had to go through the trouble of manually managing their compliance requirements. Microsoft’s Privacy Management offering is aimed at automating the said processes to ease the burden of companies struggling to meet their regulatory requirements. Even in the digital world we live in, companies are still using manual processes to track data.
A recent study conducted by IAPP-FTI Consulting showed that more than 53 percent of the companies are still handling their subject request manually. Furthermore, it was also reported that only 2 percent of the respondents had automated their processes. According to Microsoft’s Plans description, the latest privacy offering will work across SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and Exchange Online. The licensing document has made it clear that the companies must have E5-type licensing to make use of the privacy solution. AI is used by the solution to make sure that risks are assessed well. An automated discovery process is also in place to ensure that data gets located. The discovery process in the solution will extend even to an older system that has Microsoft 365.
