According to the latest reports from Blockchain Game Alliance, Nonfungible token (NFT) games have gained immense notoriety and have gained more than $2.32 billion in revenue in the second half of 2021. The numbers make up around 22 percent of all the NFT trading done this year as the blockchain games continued to gain steam. The BGA is considered an active advocate for NFTs games, as all the digital items have the security of digital ledger and transparency. The new business model has provided meaning for digital collectibles.
The report published by BGA was based on a survey conducted among 300 companies from 56 countries that are a part of BGA. Out of 300 companies, 198 joined just this year, showing 186 percent growth from 2020. Back in 2018, the BGA was formed with just eight members. NFTs is a young industry. Among the group of respondents, 34 percent were identified themselves as gaming professionals, and close to 27 percent of the respondents were blockchain enthusiasts and professionals. More than 80 percent of the respondents were in the same position for close to three years, while 42 percent of the respondents were in it for less than 12 months.
