Cargill Unveils First-Ever Inn...Cargill opens innovation center to develop innovative and robust solutions for the food and beverage market
Global food major Cargill in a recent press meet has stated that it has opened its first innovation center to develop innovative and robust solutions for the food and beverage market. It is spread over almost 17,000 square feet and consists of a sensory lab and a demonstration kitchen to serve dairy, beverage, bakery, and specialized culinary applications.
Cargill combines its expertise across edible oils, specialty fats, starches, sweeteners, cocoa, and chocolate; and tailored blended ingredients under one roof to bring a complete product innovation solution to the F&B industry. The innovation center aims to promote healthy food and reformulate products that are lower in fat, salt, and sugar while maintaining their original taste and texture.
It is reported that the innovation center will consist of 27 food specialists who will provide opportunities for young and aspiring talents in the academia, agribusiness, and food sectors. The company will also collaborate with R&D companies of all sizes. Cargill has also said that it will partner with various F&B customers to know in-depth about the consumer demands, change the global industry trends into the local application, and speed up the customer product innovation pipelines.
