The National Bank of Greece has recently made an announcement that it has added tech giant Microsoft to play a major role in its business transformation plan. This was mainly done to improve the company’s future success and efficiency. NGB has decided to choose the flexibility provided by Microsoft Azure and the capabilities of the SaS platform to quickly deal with the upcoming challenges efficiently and quickly. A new enterprise and analytics decisioning engine were set up by NBG to manage the bank’s Business Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE).

 The CoE is basically a hub designed to act as a catalyst for a bank’s effort to integrate newer technologies into certain daily operations. The latest SaS Viya is assisting the bank in its CoE goals, and this includes operationalizing the analytics and leveraging the power for strategic goals. The machine learning capabilities, AI, and self-service data mining have propelled the bank’s effort and helped them innovate faster by moving from table to field quickly. Since the platform is open for different technologies, developers can make use of codes from different programming tools like Lua, R, Java, and Python. The platform already has everything that will help the data to be both visualized and analyzed.
