Retail brands have realized the value of metaverse and are on the way to making use of its potential to change how consumers communicate with their stores and products

In the retail segment, there are various brands expressing interest in the metaverse. Last month we got to see how Walmart is planning to create its own cryptocurrency and NFTs and would soon start selling virtual toys, home décor, electronics, and appliances. In fact, there are instances where real estate metaverse sellers are ready to build a virtual mall to house all brands. In the digital world we live in, retail brands have realized the value of metaverse and are on the way to making use of its potential to change how consumers communicate with their stores and products and improve their marketing strategies.

Recent research has shown that more than 77 percent of shoppers stop at add to cart and won’t go ahead with the purchase. Retailers speculate that the immersive quality of the metaverse will greatly help them in improving their experience. We can see that the idea of virtual stores has come a long since eBay launched its first virtual store in 2016. Virtual stores are not just limited to being a time-saving alternative for customers but also a tool to increase the customer base and reduce the return rate. In the virtual store, consumers can easily find the product they are looking for and have a personalized experience.
