Microsoft has confirmed that Android will soon receive Outlook Lite

This new take on Outlook will massively benefit Android users

Popular tech giant Microsoft has recently made major updates to its 365 roadmap. One of the known changes includes a lighter version of Outlook for Android, and it is tentatively named Outlook Lite. The latest version of the app is all set to bring the key features of the Outlook app to lower-end and budget devices. The app will be small and fast, which will allow it to deliver swift services on any network. This new take on Outlook will massively benefit Android users who are in search of a less demanding Outlook client.

Generally, businesses in remote regions use low-end devices to function, and lite apps can help them cope better with adversaries. As of now, there is no clear information on which features will be chopped from this version. Some key features like Calendar access and Mail will be included in this version as it is the bare minimum. Support article suggests that Outlook Lite will only support Hotmail, Outlook, Live, and MSN accounts. This shows that it will not support school or work accounts. The tech giant already has a Lite offering (Skype), and the latest release will bring the companies among all the other giants who have already created a toned-down version of their apps.
