Whatsapp, the Meta-owned messaging platform, has announced the launch of its new feature that will enable users to react to messages with any emoji of their choice. Presently, the platform gives users the ability to react with only a limited number of emojis, that is, just six emojis. Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg took to Facebook in a post on late Monday, "We are rolling out the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp." Mark Zuckerberg also mentioned some of the emojis like fries, surfing in the sea, robots, etc.
WhatsApp is also coming up with a feature that will give iOS users the ability to hide their online status from their contacts. Currently, users of Whatsapp can choose to display their "Last Seen" information to contacts, some chosen people, or no one. A future version of the app will enable users to follow a similar approach to the online toggle. The new privacy feature is being developed at the same time. WhatsApp is developing another crucial feature- the ability to edit a message. In the recent past, the platform has introduced different features for group voice calls, like messaging participants, muting, along with banner notifications while in a group call.
