A new feature in WhatsApp to share contact cards on Windows beta

WhatsApp, the Meta-owned messaging platform has started to roll out the ability to share contact cards on Windows beta.

WABetaInfo reported that the new feature rolled by WhatsApp allows users to share contact cards within the same chat share sheet. If the feature is enabled for a WhatsApp user's account then the entry point “Contacts” will appear in their WhatsApp. The recipient can easily add contact to their address book when a user shares a contact card, with this feature.

According to the report, only some beta users can share contact cards after downloading the WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2247.2.0 update. WhatsApp rolled out the ability to create polls on Windows beta, earlier this week. The WhatsApp users have to click the attach icon which is next to the chat bar to create a poll and can see a poll option.

The new feature in the messaging platform is end-to-end encrypted thus, only other people in the same conversation can reply and read it. This new feature is available for both group and individual chats.
