Daiso is all set to open several stores in the US following its successful debut

The budget-friendly Japanese retailer Daiso is rapidly growing by opening new outlets all throughout the United States. After its initial 2023 U.S. debut at the Andersen Fiesta Shopping Center in Chandler, Arizona, the budget-friendly retailer opened its latest outlet this month inside the Elk Grove Commons shopping area in Sacramento, California, according to AZ Central. According to the brand's Instagram, a new location will debut in Houston in April. The opening of 25 to 30 additional U.S. shop sites is one of Daiso's 2023 expansion plans, in addition to the three outposts. Daiso's success in the US has resulted in the opening of 91 locations, including the one in Elk Grove, and more than 5,500 stores worldwide.

The chain's appealing look, vibrant store interiors, and wide selection of goods—many of which are priced between $1.75 and $15.25—including home goods, snacks, stationery, stuffed animals, and craft supplies—seem to be its defining characteristics. Labels are displayed in yen, and infographics at each location display price conversions between dollars and yen. The company also brings a full-scale shopping experience from Japan to the U.S. According to the brand's website, Daiso has a stringent return policy that forbids exchanges or refunds and states that all purchases are final.
