The Witcher video games have sold more than 75 million copies, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt alone accounting for more than 50 million of those sales, according to the studio.

These figures indicate that the series is one of the most successful video game franchises of all time. In comparison, The Witcher 3 is within striking reach of blockbuster smashes like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Red Dead Redemption 2, both of which have sold more than 53 million copies and are among the top-selling games.

Netflix is also betting big on The Witcher franchise, having already extended its Witcher TV series for a fifth season, despite the fact that the third season has yet to be released. The third season will be the final one with Henry Cavill as Geralt; Liam Hemsworth will take over in season four.
