French start-up Teale raises $...Teale's main goal is to democratize mental health.
French start-up Teale has raised $11 million in a series of A funding round led by Alter Equity and Bpifrance’s Digital Venture Fund, with participation from existing investors Isai and Evolem. Teale provides a platform for employee mental health that enables HR executives to monitor mental health symptoms and prevent burnout. The platform offers employees a survey that is used to rate their mental state based on multiple criteria. Teale's algorithm then recommends relevant content from a database of 1,000 pieces of audio and video content. If the situation requires it, the algorithm directs employees to schedule appointments with a psychiatrist or doctor of psychology.
For management, Teale provides an overview of the emotional wellbeing of employees. HR teams can see if the platform is active and if users have requested mental support to aid in the provision of a healthier work environment. Currently, around 45% of the workforce at Teale’s 100 clients uses the platform, and the company hopes to use the funding to expand its team from 25 to 80 employees in the next 18 months, as well as expand into new countries. Teale's main goal is to democratize mental health. Teale has been used by some big-name clients, including Sanofi, SNCF, Cartier, and EY. Teale's successful funding round is reflective of the growing demand for employee mental health platforms in the workplace.
