Walgreens replaced the U.S. Healthcare President with former Solera Health CEO

Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) has undertaken further restructuring within its Executive Committee by announcing the replacement of John Driscoll, who currently serves as the executive vice president and president of U.S. Healthcare. Taking over this crucial role is Mary Langowski, a highly experienced figure in the healthcare industry, handpicked by CEO Tim Wentworth for the position. Driscoll will be transitioning into a senior advisory role within the company. Moreover, the appointment of Manmohan Mahajan as executive vice president and global chief financial officer has been confirmed. Mahajan has been fulfilling this role on an interim basis since July 2023, and brings a wealth of financial expertise to the position. Additionally, Elizabeth Burger has been named executive vice president and chief human resources officer, marking another significant addition to the leadership team.

Langowski's background includes serving as the CEO of Solera Health, where her strategic vision led to notable transformations within the company, fostering sustained growth. In her new capacity at Walgreens, Langowski will spearhead the expansion of the company's U.S. Healthcare segment, driving its evolution within the healthcare landscape. Mahajan's continued leadership in his new role will focus on driving growth and ensuring cost discipline, drawing on his extensive experience gained from various roles at GE Capital. Meanwhile, Burger's expertise in human resources leadership, honed through roles at companies such as Flowserve, Monsanto Company, and Hanesbrands Inc., will be instrumental in guiding the human resources strategy and operations at Walgreens.
