Compass announced U.S. name change to Compass Energy Systems (USA) Inc.

Compass Energy Systems (USA) Inc. Compass announced
The Silicon Review
07 March, 2024

The name change has been effective since Friday, March 1, 2024.

Compass President John Forgeron expressed delight in the company's rapid expansion in the United States over the last three years. He noted that the name change in the United States better reflects the company's offers in compression, process, and power equipment, as well as energy transition projects like electrification, carbon capture, and hydrogen. The synchronization of corporate names in Canada and the United States is intended to avoid misunderstanding, promote continued growth and expansion plans, and reinforce Compass's position as a global leader in energy system solutions for a variety of applications. Compass began operations in the United States in 2012, first providing field services in Wyoming and North Dakota.

Since then, the company has grown by hiring more people, purchasing more cars, opening branches and parts depots in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and elsewhere. Compass expanded its capabilities in 2020 by acquiring Exterran's natural gas compression assets in the United States, which included talent and a substantial fabrication site in Houston, Texas. Compass Energy Systems, a private corporation that specializes in compression, gas processing, and power systems, works in both Canada and the United States. The company specializes in the engineering, design, and fabrication of high-quality energy systems, as well as package assembly and support throughout the equipment's life cycle. Compass also offers refit, spares, and field servicing services, with its products used in over 20 countries globally.
