Takeda has announced the selection of eight new U.S. non-profit organizations as recipients of grants as part of its $14.6 million commitment to its FY2023 U.S. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. With a focus on creating greater impact and promoting equity in under-resourced communities, the company is directing its philanthropic efforts towards two key areas: Food is Health and Building STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Foundations. Takeda aims to provide larger, multi-year grants to selected nonprofits in order to support sustainable initiatives. When combined with previous investments made since 2021, Takeda's total contribution to these initiatives now stands at $54.1 million.

Takeda evaluates grant applications for its U.S. CSR program biannually and collaborates with local and national organizations that align with its philanthropic priorities. The company values the insights and expertise of its partners, actively listening to understand the most pressing needs within communities. Through this collaborative approach, Takeda provides support to address these needs and positively impact people's lives. The company recently released the Caring for Tomorrow: 2023 U.S. Community Impact Report, offering a comprehensive overview of its initiatives and partnerships aimed at making a difference in communities nationwide. Additional details about Takeda’s U.S. CSR, health equity, and diversity, equity, and inclusion programs are available in the report.
